Mental Health and Financial Literacy
Are you too anxious to save? Are you too focused on what happened in the past to reach your financial goals? Are you too impulsive with your money? Are you a workaholic and focus on money rather than your family and friends? Do you need help to manage your emotions during your investments? Are you too attached to money? Attachment to money can be from a past experience which can include trauma or your parent's situation. For example, a child who had parents that were poor, may become too attached to money due to fear of not having enough when the child becomes an adult.
You may have depression, anxiety, ADHD or any other mental health symptom that is getting in the way of reaching your financial goals.
I will provide you with a supportive environment to talk about challenges, help you safely share your story, explore new opportunities, express and manage feelings and thoughts, and provide an opportunity to identify solutions to problems by working in partnership with you. I can help you learn about budgeting, cashflow management, and how social media may be influencing your spending habits.
I will also offer you a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space to help you with your mental health including emotions and thoughts. While the service is not about financial advise it is about giving you the foundation to improve your ability to become more financially independent and savvy.
Don't forget to reach out if you need help in these areas. I provide support in Essendon, online or telephone for $160.00 per hour. Payment needs to be made on the day for face-to-face or before the telehealth session.
Money gives you choices. Mental health and financial literacy otherwise known as financial psychology is a proactive approach to ensure that you don't become stuck in debt and not too attached to wealth but living a healthy life that is grounded in wellbeing and satisfaction.
